This is a red fungus resistant cross made by the Weinbauinstitut Freiburg.
Cross: Cabernet Sauvignon X (Merzling X (Saperavi severnyi X St. Laurent))

Requirements to the site:
Cabernet Carbon has relatively high requirements to the site. It will be ready vor harvesting about 14 days after Pinot noir.
Spread:
Not that much, because it is a new variety. Plantings in Germany, Italy, Romania are still made.
Type of wine:
Reminding of Cabernet Sauvignon.

A fungus resistant red variety with a full bodied type of wine The wines benefit very much from oxidative wine making and wood contact.
